Loving as a Mother

I was trying to figure it out a definition of love and I found one when I took my little one in my arms and felt a worm sensation all over my body when I saw her two little tooth smile. I also understood what love is (and unfortunately definitions are very scarce as they use only the medium of words to describe something) when my older child first told me "Mommy, you are a girl and you are beautiful." And then I realized that I am not only beautiful for somebody, but I was a woman and I could give birth to my love, I could create love. How wonderful is that! every mother can contribute to the definition of love and perpetuate it forever.  Chic mothers, be proud that you are a perpetuum mobile of love! Please, take a moment and realize that the energy your love creates is what keeps the GOOD of this world!

Parentmania

We are so stressed these days being parents because we don't know anymore what to do to be the best parents ever. So much info is circulating on the internet about kids' products, about their health, about what you should do to have the next Albert Einstein. I am frustrated of not always being the best mother and because I spend so much time on the internet searching for the ideal product and the ideal advise, I would like other mothers like me to share here their opinion. I just want for my kids the best in the society we live in - we cannot create a better one but by instilling our kids' good, healthy habits - physical and psychological.
In this fast paced society I feel like I am loosing my mind if i cannot conform to a certain social requirement. For example, i was looked at very angrily by couple of parents when I let my little one run in the library and making a little bit of noise while there was story time. I know I should respect other kids' interest in the readings, but I would have caused even more "noise" trying to calm down my energetic little kid. I also may not always dress my kids as the norm and sometimes they might have some spots on their T-shirts. God, I wish I had more hands and a faster brain to coordinate them for the sake of a better Me as mother. Yet, being chic is all about not being the same. A chic baby is one who is not stopped every two seconds by the social norm "NO", is a baby who is let to play, is a baby who begins to think with her own brain and who is going to make chic choices - not only in fashion (this will be too reducing!), but in all domaine of active life - books, food, intellectual etc. I know, you are going to tell me - well yeah, a baby knows how to make choices. I will definitely answer YES, my kids do chic choices already and know to choose a fruit for a snack and not a candy. That is a chic baby that makes a chic choice.
